The Equilibrator™ Passive Diffusion Sampler obtains representative, discrete interval samples of Volatile Organic Compounds in groundwater without purging or pumping. These samplers are effective and reliable for any site where VOCs are the main contaminant of concern. PDB’s can be ordered prefilled with clean, deionized water or can be delivered unfilled and filled in the field. Use the chart below to select which Standard PDB is appropriate for your project.

The Equilibrator™ Standard PDB is constructed from a semi-permeable polyethylene membrane, filled with deionized water, and lowered into the flow portion of the saturated screen where it resides for a minimum of 14 days. The semi-permeable, hydrophobic membrane has pores that allow the movement of VOC molecules between the well water outside the sampler and the deionized water inside the sampler so that once the sampler comes to equilibrium, it can be removed to capture an aquifer-representative sample.

Custom Suspension Tether Preparation Service

Don't spend time on site measuring out where to put your samplers to collect accurate samples. EON will use your well construction data to create cut-to-length suspension tethers for individual wells so that all you need to do on each sampling event is connect your samplers to the pre-set attachment points.
